Lilypad Lacquer - Too Much Excitemint

Lilypad Lacquer Too Much Excitemint, now i am led to believe there is 2 versions of this....but i could be incorrect but some photos ive seen are different to mine, I've seen a more turquoise colour, so if there is 2 then please feel free to let me know.

The  one i have is a cool almost mint, kind of Jade shade, it almost makes me think of the ocean, and mermaids, OK so the holo is not as screaming as most of Nicoles polish, but it has a scattered holo to it which is normally my type of holo.... how ever, it goes on like a dream....almost a 1 coat-er but i have read other needed up to 3 coats??? im not sure if they got a more watery version?  but i used 2 as i always do with any polish, just because it make my nails stronger...and it didn't need any more coats and It dried fast but then i think all Lilypad Lacquers dry quick, as do most holo polishes all in all i like it.....i have no complaints yet im not screaming from the roof tops with excitment about it.

Do you have this one? do you love it? what are your thoughts, feel free to leave a comment.

Lilypad Lacquer - Wild at heart

Lilypad Lacquer Wild At heart

Wow just look at this beauty, i mean how can you not be mesmerised with this, a Holo green that's sent from the gods id say.

I'm trying to think of a way to explain the colour other then just "Green" At first i thought maybe a Hunter green, but nope I'm going with Military green and has a golden look to it also, its a Linear Holo and the holo as with all Lilppad polish doesn't disappoint.

if you have short nails you can most definitely get away with one coat...longer nails need to two coats, and top coating doesn't dull the effect.

I know i have said this about all the Lilypads i have but this is one of my faves.

Lilypad Lacquer - Where the Lilypads grow (Exclusive Custom)

A little backgroun information on how this glorious polish came about.

Where the lilypads grow is a Custom one off Exclusive nail polish that came to life when Nicole offered to make it for a Fan group on Facebook ran by Rachel of Cherryglamgirl Blog.... Nicole suggested 6 colours to choose from which would be exclusive to active members only of that group, the group had come together to suggest a name for the polish but Nicole choose to name it her self and well that's how Where the Lilypads grow began.

As you can see it is packed full of holo colours and is describes as a Linear Holo polish....depending on the light you can see a Rainbow of colours, and i have to say its flawless, the formula as with all Nicole's polish is perfection, it glides on with such ease, and dries in a good time and id say you could easily get away with just one coat, normally with some Holo polishes, adding a top coat t them dulls the effect, but not with this one adding a topcoat had zero effect on how amazing this polish is.

Lilypad Lacquer - Velveteen

Oh my golly gosh.....excuse me while i come around from my HOLO coma......

OK so lets start with how Lilypad Lacquer is an Australian brand made by the oh so talented Nicole, her polish is 3 free and id say she is the queen of holo polish....

Lilypad Lacquer has been getting more and more popular and i totally understand why, the formula is one of the best out there for Holo polish, i find most Holos to go on patchy, well it does for me, but not this one, it went on so easy i could of done it blind folded, the polish glides on like a dream, dries in a good time and only takes 2 coats, right from coat 1 you can see how intense the effect is.

Its not like me to over excite a polish but Lilypad Lacquer is something special, Velvetten to me looked like a brownish Mauve in the bottle but on my nails it was more a Mauve but then WAP POW in sunlight, or a flash from a camera and it comes alive like a fat kid eating cake hehehe the purple pops more and the holo is just out of this world awesome.

This is my fave thing to say but i only pull it out for something special and this hits that spot so here ya go......This polish is "Super Sonic Lazar Beam Awesome" and yes you can quote me on that.

I want to give a huge Thank you to my bestie Rachel of CherryGlamGirl Blog for sending me this, you are a special kind of lady xxx

Lilypad Laquer - Berry Beautiful

Ive heard lots of great things about Lilypad Lacquer and i was eager to try it, but which do you choose? there is so many awesome shades and to choose one was a hard task, but i kept going back to this one, it made the short list and after looking at swatches i decided that this was the one i wanted.

I didn't use it straight away because my nails were short and i wasn't happy with them and i wanted to wear the polish when my nails were at a nice length.

So Berry Beautiful is a chocolate brown that kind of shifts between a Copper/Bronze/Gold colour with a scattered holo effect, those that know me know i love scattered holos, i much prefer them to the full on in your face holo.....and this fits that category.

Ive heard it been compared to Enchanted Polish's Autumn, but i personally think this one is prettier it have more holo in it...

Berry Beautiful to me was a little watery or thin, so it took a few layers to get it as opaque as id liked, but once i had it to the desired opaqueness (is that even a word lol) i was happy with it....because it did layer very well....it didn't end up looking all think on my nails.

It dried faster then i expected with 4 layers on it, and dried to a nice finish, i really do want to own more Lilypad Lacquer and I'm waiting on a group Custom so I'm excited for that and will be back with swatches.

Chirality - Kale

Ive been drooling of this polish for some time, but the weird thing is i don't normally like Greens, but for some reason i loved this one, i mentioned in in "The Polish Swap" group and someone said they  had it and they didn't like it so if i wanted it, then it was mine, she kindly sent it to me for free, So Thank you Amy, i appreciate you doing that for me.

Kale is a Military green, a dark green packed with holo, but not to much, as always i tend to go for the more Scattered Holo which Kale is, i didn't know until i joined Chirality Face book page that all her polishes are B3Free and cruelty free, so that's a great plus.

I had major problems opening the bottle, Amy assured me it was new and unused, it took a few failed attempted to open it, and after a few more goes we took a pair of grippers to it and got it open lol

It was also very thick and goopy and no way you could paint it on your nails with out thinning it down so i added 5 drops of Seche Restore shook it with every bit of me lol then left it to settle over night and BING BANG BOOM it was like new.

So once all that was done, it went on great, and OMG i fell in love with it, so yeah id recommend it, despite the problems i had, which we think was due sitting unused a while before i got it.
