Hits No Olimpo - Zeus

I was recently hooked up with a Brazil gal for a swap, (Thank you Samantha and Dayane) i choose to get some of the Hits Holo polish and im so glad i did although at firt I was a little disapointed at the size, my reaction was "ohhhh ermmm yeah ok" i thought they were bigger then that, id never questioned the size because photos made them look taller, but wow the power those little bottles have are awesome, I got No Olimpo Zeus, No Olimpo Hera, No Olimpo Apolo and Mari Moon - Unconventional.

The one im wearing is Zeus, i love dark grays and this is no let down, the polish is the best formula i think ive ever used, and im not exaggerating, its perfect,it went on like a dream, although i needed 3 layers each layer went on as well as the last, i think it made my nails look pretty, its such a easy polish to work with, and my only regret is i didn't get  more, but hopefully i can do another swap and add to my collection.

Everyone i spoke to about this polish told me it was long wearing, i tend to pick at things and i tend to get Tip wear after 24 hours with the best of polish, how ever the below photos is 5 days of wear, and its perfect, no tip wear and i mean none, so this has to be a first for me, i haven't done anything different then i normally do, in fact, i have a heat lump on my ankle and I've been itching it like mad yet no tip wear, i think that's fab.

After Entering a give away over at Confessions of a Sarcastic Mom i never thought for a minute id ever win, but i did, wooo hooo for me lol, Desantys Blog is one that i read and visit more then others, i like her way of thinking and love how she writes her blog, the way she titles her posts always makes me smile....i know how hard it is to title a blog post and i think the fact she names them all "The one with" is cute.

My package arrived really fast, i was surprised when i came down for the post and it was there.....I wasn't sure what she would send me, i had said which give away package i liked most and that was the one with all Destanys Favourites, but there was other winners so i was excited when i opened it and seen id got the one i wanted.

Thank you so much Destany, i love them all but my fave has to be the China Glaze Shower together, but i also love the Wet n Wild Buffy the Violet Slayer, the names Awesome lol.

My Swap with Raquel

I got my self a new "Swap" Buddie lol........Raquel was my SPS Receiver (Secret Santa Polish), she was happy with what i had sent her and asked if i wanted to do a swap with her once Christmas and new year was over, i only really have 1 person i swap with and that's my friend Ruth, so i was happy to say yes to a swap. 

Raquel had great taste in polish, she likes the same colours as me,  well she likes Purple more then i do lol, but she likes darker rather then light shades like me.

I'm very very happy with what she sent me....This is an awesome swap, she was so kind and picked perfectly for me, i can say she Nailed it (pun intended lol)  i now own my first ever OPI Designer Series and will keep it close to my heart.

Thank you so my for our swap Raquel, it was a pleasure and i know we will go on to have more swap in the future.

Secret Polish Santa Package arrived.

One of the nail groups im in done a Secret Polish Santa, (SPS) my package didn't arrive for the dead line of December 1st, but that wasn't any ones fault, well yeah it was it was the postage service, because they returned my package to the sender....Because everyone else had got their presents, it didn't take much for me to figure out my sps was, and it was Courtni

I felt bad that Courtni had to resend it because i  know for a package of that size postage isn't cheap and it was the Holidays so i felt bad  for her, but bless her cotton socks she resent it, and i go it today, it was so worth the wait, i had swooned over the color club foil collection, and desperately wanted it, and Courtni kindly sent me it, so I'm very thankful.

She also added a few extra goodies, A cute note pad with my initial on it along with a metal decoration tag with the Letter K, (which will make a great book mark) she also sent me some Laffy Taffy, now i know I'm on Insulin but i do allow myself a treat now and again and as i lurrvvvv Laffy Taffy il defiantly enjoy it.

2011 polish of the year - Orlys Fowl Play

This took no deciding at all for me....its kind of a no brainer that Fowl play from Orly’s Birds of a Feather collection is my 2011 polish of the year, Its no secret that its a dupe for Merry Midnight by OPI and even though they are identical i think Orly has a better formula then OPI and id bet my bottom dollar that you have this in your stash and if you don't then you need to get it.

I very nearly pass this one by, my friend Ruth offered to send it to me after she had a spare, i said i had a Cheaper dupe for it, which id never used so i said yeah OK IL take it and omg I'm so pleased i do because its become my fave polish, its very rare i use a polish more then twice, but this one is my go to when i cant decide which other to wear.

For me 2 layers was enough, i love the way it made my nails look, and they felt much stronger with the polish on, they didn't chip, crack or peal and the polish still looked good after a weeks wear, in fact the photos below where taken about a week after i painted my nails.....To keep it looking shiny and fresh all i did was apply a new coat of Seche every few days.

Anyway I'm not going to ramble on about it, because the photos speak for them self....Congratulation Orly, you are my 2011 Nail polish of the year.

So once again i done a swap with my friend Ruth, (she is awesome for swapping) i think this was the largest swap I've done, to others it may be small but to me its the most I've swapped in one go.

It took a couple of weeks to to collect what we wanted but we got there in the end lol

Jesses Girl Nail Mail

I joined the Jesse's Girl Face Book Page a while back after, i got Glee which i blogged about HERE, it in a swap with Ashley from Polished Components, and i fell in love with their polish, and wanted, no needed to own more of there fantastic colours.

I done a lot of moaning on the site that i couldnt buy it here in the UK, and i made friends with a lady called Christine who ran the Face book page, i later found out that Christine was actually the Daughter of Jesse the creator or Jesse's Girl Cosmetics

So after receiving a card in the post to say i had to go collect a package, and knowing i was only really waiting on my deliver from Christine, i went to collected it and i got so excited i swear a little wee came out lol, i couldn't wait to get home to see all my new polish.

So i got, 12 colours in total.....all wrapped perfectly, i love how they where individually wrapped to protect the bottle then in a little bag, i think its the neatest polish delivery I've ever had, i cant fault them for there packaging....so below is what i got.....

Tuff Scent - Water Collection - Mother Nature.

Well its that time again...time for the weird looks because Kellie is standing smelling my fingers again.....and if I'm not smelling them I'm shoving them in other peoples face telling them to smell them to the point I'm becoming annoying, but i cant help myself and its because i have on Tuff Scent - Mother Nature witch a Spearmint scent from The Water Collection.

I've read a few reviews saying its hard to get to grip with the shape of the lid, but i have no problems at all, i find the lid has no control over how i apply the polish and i can paint my nails with it just as good as i can other polish lids........

I like the little sayings on each different bottle, this one says: **Mother Nature - Reminds us to care and give back, change and grow with kindness towards all** ....And i cant agree more.

This beautiful blue is just to lush i say blue but depending on the way you look at it it has hidden colours to it, i personally feel its like a Blue Lagoon look to it, its so pretty, I've already raved on about this polish HERE, and after using it again i still stand by what i said.

It only took 2 coats to get the look i Ike on my nails, the spearmint smell comes through almost straight away...it reminds me of a few things, fresh mint leaves, Tooth paste lol but i asked my Boyfriend Kevin to smell it, as always when i mention Nail Polish his face goes blank and he looses all interest in what i have to say lol, but i managed to pursued him to smell my finger lol, he said to my surprise "ohh that neat" and when iasked him what he could smell he said Chewing gum.

He said it smells like you have been winding chewing gum round your fingers, and i have to agree, it does smell like Spearmint chewing gum, and as i love anything minty i have to say i love this polish both the colour and the smell.

Now Tuff Scent, all you have to do is invent a nail polish that tastes too, that way i can go around both smelling and liking my fingers lol.

Nail Mail from Rachael

I did a swap with the sweetes girl  in my nail group, we did it round about the time the Canadian post workers went on strike, and unfortunaly my package never arrived, but this wasn't Rachael's fault its was the postal service.......I was happy to let it go, but Rachael being Rachel wanted to send me another package, which i got yesterday, there is nothing better then nail mail to cheer you up in a raining cold Saturday and Rachaels package done just that. sup....the best suprise she gave me was the OPI Glacier Bay Blues, id had this on my wish list for a while so im very excited....thank you my sweet friend i appreciate all you sent me xxx
