Rimmel Space Dust - Moon Walking

Rimmel seem to be on the ball with whats hot in the polish world, normally it takes them a while to catch on and the fad has past by the time they bring out a new collections.

How ever they has impressed me with the new "Space Dust" collection, there is 5 colours in total, i do believe they are called ...Aurora, Luna Love, Shooting Stars, Total Eclipse and the one I'm wearing below is Moon Walking.....

I wasn't able to buy them all because there was only a few on sale in Asda (Walmart) where i came across them for £3.99 a bottle.......At first i thought they would just be like their "Precious Stones" polish, but how wrong i was.

Moon Walking is a really pretty purple I've seen other say its Lilac but I'm not on board with that lol, I'm gonna go for Lavender with little round and hexagon shaped gritty glitter, and I'm in love with Textured polish and well this is no different, i love it, as with all textured polish you don't get a smooth finish, so if you are like me get annoyed unless your polish is smooth as a babies but then you can top coat it and it still looks awesome.....

I choose to leave it as it was and after a while i got used to the feeling.....I wore this for 5 days with out any visible chipping or tip wear....but like all Textured polish i find its so easy to refill any chips, the texture in it really helps hide them, also it does on so easy and looks pretty sweet i think.

I cant wait to try the others, i hope they do get all the colours in Asda, if not i will have to venture in to town and get them.

So have you tried them? what do you think? and what is your favourite shade?

BarryM Textured Polish - Lady

Ive been seeing lots of photos on Facebook of the BarryM Textured polish, and as i seem to be "into" textured polish at this time, i had to go buy me some, when i say some, i mean all of them of course lol

This is one is "Lady" from BarryM Autumn.Winter collection, with Royal themed names, they are a Textured/Glitter effect and so easy to use and work with, ive been excited to have a white Textured polish, and i LOVE this one.

From other reviews i read, many said it only took 2 layers, but it just didn't seem enough to me, so i layered it over a white polish, as you can see from the close up there is pretty blue flash through it, and personally i feel this is a perfect Christmas polish, as it reminds me of fine snow.

NYC Pinstrip White and BarryM Ruby Glitter

So after searching for swatches of the Barrym Glitters from the Jewel Collection... i just didn't like the look of this, many people had been putting it over black or using it on its own and it just didn't look nice to me, especially when used alone, it looked messy, then i came across a swatch over white and the rest as they say was history, i had to have it lol.

Ruby Glitter is a Clear base polish with small and large glitter in black and i wanna say Fuscia ?? but maybe a hot pink is best to describe it.

I didn't find it hard to apply, the glitter did spread out easily, but as with most glitter i tent do Dab it on rather then apply like you would a normal polish, it didn't dry as gritty as i expected and one coat of my fave top coat Seche left it smooth to the touch.

Jesses's Girl Hot Cinnamon

Hot Cinnamon is from the Jesse's Girl Julie G Gumdrops collections, the polish is a textured polish with a sparkle to it, now if you haven't tried Textured polish, let me tell you it apply very different from regular polish, to me it goes on SO easier, but that's just my option...but this went on like a dream, i had no mess and no clean up and it drys SUPER fast, the formula is just  perfect, its not runny bu not a thick polish, its just so easy to work with.....it left no patches like some Textured polish.

I'm not normally a red polish person, it has to be pretty special for me to wear it, and this is one of those special reds....its not a in your face red, which was why i liked it,Its described as a "Hot Red" with a glitter finish.

From what i have seen this is a True Dupe for Zoya Destiny....id say this is a substitute.

November 2013 Haul

It has been SO long since i done a polish haul, mainly because a lady in a group i was in posted saying how tired she was of seeing blog posts on hauls, so it stopped me doing any more after that, but then i thought, why should i stop showing off what i get just cuz she doesn't like it so here is my first Polish haul post in a long time...

I don't go in to town often anymore, I'm not sure why, laziness perhaps, the weather plays a big pat in it to and well I'm an anxious person so feel quite anxious going in to town on my own.....but i was bored today so off i popped and done a little retail therapy, this is what i came back with.

Revisited - Cathrine Arley 668

Those that now me, know i very rarely, if ever wear a polish twice, but i was tidying up my polish draws ans came across the box of Cathrine Arley polishes i have, and as i looked through them i came across this one, and remembered how i loved it.

When i first wore it, and blogged about it HERE i had short stubby nails, and remember saying to myself...."IL have to use this again when my nails are long" so that's what i have done, and i still love it.

I initially bought it cuz it was so close to opi ds Classic for ever, which i still do not own but it is on my Wish list, but i do think if i never got to have it, id be happy with this as a dupe.....

Cathrine Arley polish is super easy to work with, it goes on so well and it has this awesome glossy finish with out any topcoat.

So which was your Favourite Cathrine Arley polish when they wee popular.

After 2 days of wearing this i wanted to jazz it up and i gave stamping ago, now i not great at stamping but i think i can get away with this attempt lol

Hmmm my fingers look weird in a few of these photos, dunno why lol

Asda - George LE - Denim Effect

I shop in Asda every week, yet I've never seen Nail polish for sale there apart from Rimmel, I have heard that George do have a polish range, yet I've never seen it for sale in the one i shop, shame cuz id probably clean them out.

How ever i was browsing the deodorant isle and on the end i seen a new display for George Denim Effect polish its Limited Edition for £3.00 so i had to get me some, There was a Blue Denim and a Black Denim.

The polish has a Suede effect, dried matte with a silver undertone to it, when i applied it,  i messed up....it dries super fast so i ended up with balding, so i had to take it off and start again and noticed it went on easier with no patching if you didn't use a under coat.....and id say you could get away with one coat.

This for me is deffo a dupe for Nails inc Bermondsey Denim Effect, maybe not as textured, but Nails inc is £12, Asda was £3 so it will do for me.

I cant wear polish with out having to topcoat it, but if you like that matte look then this is one to consider if your on a budget.

Jesses Girl - Crushed Candy

Crushed Candy  if from the Jesse's Girl Julie G Gumdrops collections, the polish is a textured polish with a sparkle to it, now if you haven't tried Textured polish, let me tell you it apply very different from regular polish, to me it apply's easier, but that's just my option...but this went on like a dream, i had no mess and no clean up and it drys SUPER fast with no patches like some Textured polish.

I think the best thing about this polish is how long it lasts, i wore this for just under 2 weeks....i was being lazy and had no inspiration to change my polish so this was a good choice, because its textured i found when it did chip it filled in so flawless, you couldn't tell because the texture of it made it look like there was never a chip there.....also any tip wear was easy to conceal to and my nails looked freshly polished every day.....out of all Textured polish i have to say the gumdrops collection is perfect.

Nelly Polish - First Dried Polsh.

As we know the international postage rules are killing the nail polish community, all those awesome, indies that cant be sent to you i know is upsetting :( its hurting people home made business but along comes a very clever lady names Hilary.....let me explain a little more.

Hilary of Nelly Polish may of just single handily worked out a way to ship Indie polish with out breaking the laws....Hilary put her chemistry education to good use and had come up with the first ever Dried polish mix....now you might be thinking hmmmm i don't get it?

Well its so simple I'm surprised it hasn't been done before......Hilary mixes all the right amount of ingredient, You glitters, your colour pigment and suspension powered, to make your polish, all you need to do is a clear polish and shake it like you mean it lol.....What you get is a Jelly based polish.

Personally i think this is a genius idea, you can purchase Nellys Dried polish either measured out in a polish bottle or you can choose to just buy in a packet and use your own bottles.....and of course the price will varie depending on which method you go for, obviously the packed polish power will be cheaper as you are not getting a bottle.

Nelly was kind enough to send me some testers, she sent me 2 but today il reviewing Gumpas....A creamy oatmeal colour base with tiny black and white glitters with a green larger glitter to give it some sass.....

Nelly send you an instruction card so you cant go wrong

 A shot of the powder

I made a paper funnel to pour in my clear but it wasn't a great ides, so i ended up just pouring it direct, it was much easier that was.....

Its best to start slow and little...i pour in half the clear and shook it, and topped it up as i felt needed....but Nelly says you should use 10ml of clear polish.

After i added the clear i shook for all it was worth lol.....I'm not that strong so i couldn't shake the dried polish from the corner so i used a orange stick to make sure i mixed it all in....

I wanted to check the suspension of the polish before dived in and used it so i left it for 48 hours and even though it did sink badly,as you can see from the photo below.... there was a little sink-age, but with a shake it did mix back up very easy.

Nellys polish dries to a satin matte look, so Hilary suggests you add a top coat to get a shiny look

This is actually 4 layers, i have REALLY white tips so you can still see my tips a little, but i didn't mind that, it went on well, and dries fast so you can quickly get on adding a second layer....
the glitter spreads out good, you get enough of the glitter on your first layer and don't need to pick for the larger ones....but if you want a more full colour, id suggest you layer this over a similar shade....

The below photos are took with a flash

The below are taking in natural day light.

So what do you think? a hit or a miss????

The advantages of the Nelly Polish mixture are many:

1. it's cheaper for you to buy (especially if you have some clear varnish knocking around)

2. it's cheaper to ship to you (especially if you want just the sachets)

3. it's safe and perfectly legal to transport world-wide (no illegal solvents, no risks)

4. it's more ecological (solvent, like most liquids, is heavy so air-miles are saved not shipping it)

what's not to like?
